Days that fill themselves
There is nothing you must do up here, and plenty you will want to. Reception plans the day over breakfast and lends the boots.
What to do
From the doorstep, or a short drive up the hill
Most of it is within twenty minutes. We book the tea-estate tour, drive you to the trailheads, and keep a weather board by the door so you know what is clear.
The Mossy Forest boardwalk
A raised walk through cloud forest near the summit of Gunung Brinchang, ten minutes up by car. Go early, before the tour vans, and take a poncho.
Strawberry, bee & butterfly farms
Pick-your-own strawberries, highland honey and a butterfly garden, all clustered around Brinchang five minutes down the valley. Good with children.
Guided highland trails
From the gentle Jim Thompson trail to the half-day Gunung Irau ridge. A local guide leaves from reception most mornings; boots and ponchos provided.

The highest road-accessible point in Peninsular Malaysia, above the cloud line on a clear morning. We arrange an early car and a flask of tea to take.
Brinchang night market
Weekend evenings only — grilled corn, steamboat, strawberry everything and a lot of woolly jumpers for sale. A ten-minute drive; we can drop and collect.
