What to do
Most of it is within twenty minutes. We book the tea-estate tour, drive you to the trailheads, and keep a weather board by the door so you know what is clear.

A raised walk through cloud forest near the summit of Gunung Brinchang, ten minutes up by car. Go early, before the tour vans, and take a poncho.
Pick-your-own strawberries, highland honey and a butterfly garden, all clustered around Brinchang five minutes down the valley. Good with children.
From the gentle Jim Thompson trail to the half-day Gunung Irau ridge. A local guide leaves from reception most mornings; boots and ponchos provided.

Weekend evenings only — grilled corn, steamboat, strawberry everything and a lot of woolly jumpers for sale. A ten-minute drive; we can drop and collect.
The setting
Ferngrove sits between the BOH tea terraces and the Mossy Forest trailhead, ten minutes from Tanah Rata town. A few frames from the walk to your room.
